Searching for Ron Britvich (part 2) (continued)
Roderick C. Moyes
RM: "So you aren't worried about the competition then?"
DV: "I think if the idea is good and we manage it well, we'll be the last one standing. Since we aren't backed by venture capital, we don't have that kind of pressure on us, also most of the competition relies on advertising for their revenue. We don't have advertising on our site to generate ad income because we just don't think that it works. Our revenue comes from a percentage of the monetary transactions that take place through our site. So if our users make money we make money. I think ours is a better model."
RM: "So, when will AskEarth be ready to go?"
RB: "We've been testing the system for a while now and it's basically ready to go. It's up and running now, but we just haven't really told anybody yet except for a few close friends and associates so they could help us test the system and make the changes we need to before unveiling it to everybody."
RM: "Will you guys use it?"
DV: "Oh yeah! I don't think we would have created it if it weren't something we could use. If we wouldn't want to use it, why would anybody else?"
Next week, my story concludes with more of my interview with Ron Britvich and Danny Viescas. Get an intriguing glimpse into the future of the Internet from their perspective, and learn more about what's in store from them.
